Route From SF to Toronto

As soon as we decided that we are moving to Toronto, the “Agile”-ers in us set up a daily scrum to discuss our updates and plans for our move to Canada.

The first thing we decided to work on was to chalk out our road trip because let’s be honest, planning a trip is always exciting (who wants to work on packing when you can watch videos on National Parks as part of the planning).

We had our rough plan sketched out in an hour and next up was to book our stays and then that was it. Little did we know that we had a humongous task ahead of us of packing, boxing, deciding on what needs to go into UHaul u-boxes and what will come with us in our car. Then there was setting up our condo for AirBnB.

In the following month we worked hard on documenting our belongings as we were packing them, but that never seemed to end. Nevertheless, we planned our route and booked stays, at least at the major national parks that we wanted to hit.

This gave us a structure to work with and decided we will book the rest on the trip because “somebody” works at HotelTonight & Airbnb and wants to keep the stocks up (😉) but he calls it - “We live in the moment... LOL.”

Finally, after working on the itinerary multiple times, we created one which included all the parks that Ani and I wanted to visit along with accommodating for Ani’s work schedule.

We would love to have our friends and family join us on our trip. We can’t wait to share our experiences and create memories together...
